Traditional Coffee

Traditional coffees, popularly known as ‘coffee mixture’, ‘kopi-o’ or ‘kopitiam kopi’, are coffee roasted with sugar, margarine, and salt. Traditional coffee has been a favourite among Malaysians and Singaporeans for decades. It has a very long history in Malaysia, dating back to the 19th century with the propagation of the coffee plant through the Dutch when they colonised Malaya. The earliest recorded coffee plantation was in 1696.
